The Ole Hickory SSE smoker is the brand’s highest-capacity front-loading rotisserie, a production pit with a massive 75 square feet of cooking surface for the busiest barbecue restaurants and catering operations. With 15 extra-long racks and Ole Hickory’s patented convection, it is built to feed a crowd that a standard pit simply cannot keep up with.
Maximum capacity for high-volume kitchens
The SSE earns its size with 15 racks at 12″ x 60″, the longest in the lineup, for a full 75 square feet of surface, all loaded conveniently from the front. Construction is the familiar heavy-duty 12-gauge welded steel with a 22-gauge stainless exterior and mineral-wool insulation rated to 1,200 degrees, and a 65,000 BTU burner with electronic ignition runs on propane or natural gas. A 1/4 HP convection motor with a 10-inch fan circulates heat and smoke so even the longest racks cook consistently. It is built and backed by Ole Hickory Pits of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Why buy the Ole Hickory SSE smoker
When demand outgrows a 60-square-foot pit, the SSE is the answer without stepping up to multiple cookers: 75 square feet of front-loading rotisserie means more briskets, ribs, and chickens per cycle and fewer bottlenecks at the rush. You still get the welded construction, ETL approvals, and patented convection that define the brand, just at the top of the capacity range. Built to order, so contact us for current lead time.
